The Finnish companies that exhibited at Comms Connect 2018 included:

  • Bandercom;
  • Beaconsim;
  •  Bittium;
  • Cloudstreet;
  • Codea;
  • Dedicated Network Partners (DNWP);

Finland is recognised as one of the leading countries globally in this sector, with expertise developing and implementing cutting-edge critical communications solutions for public safety agencies. In Finland, all public safety authorities use the same national radio communications network and mobile field commanding solutions, which provides real-time situational awareness.

Finnish solutions cover every aspect of technology and business, from full networks and services to control rooms, special applications, enhanced data, network slicing and multi-network modems.

Outcomes and Results

Overall, the program organised by our office was a successful day of high-quality and informative discussions with industry, academia and government public safety agencies.

The program kicked off with a roundtable discussion on opportunities for international collaboration between Australia and Finland, hosted by the Centre for Disaster Management and Public Safety (CDMPS) at the University of Melbourne.

In the afternoon, the group participated in two interesting site visits to the Emergency Management Victoria (EMV) head office and the Victoria Police command centre.

Several companies that exhibited at Comms Connect and participated in the program organised by our office have since reported interest and leads from potential customers operating in the Australian market. These companies are capable of adapting to unique requirements and to various operative models, having provided solutions in several countries across the globe.

Please contact our office on learn more about Finland’s capability or to be introduced to any Finnish companies that participated in the market visit.
