Maryland’s Department of Commerce is running a Virtual Trade Mission to Australia, to enhance and promote collaboration for the Australia – Maryland space relationship.  As part of the Mission, we are hosting a virtual event on the topic: Monitoring the Health of the Earth using Space & Airborne Based Technologies’.

The event is open to Australian and Maryland based organisations only. Participation is FREE but registration is required.

About the Roundtable

The focus of the roundtable will be to discuss how issues within three key areas (fire, water and Earth) are affecting both Australia and Maryland, and how challenges related to them can be better addressed in the future through earth observation technologies such as satellites and UAVs.

The roundtable will feature US and Australian industry experts from the following organizations:

  • Australian Space Agency (Australia)
  • CSIRO - The Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (Australia)
  • Howard University (Washington, D.C.)
  • NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (Maryland)
  • SmartSat Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) (Australia)
